In the 19th century, several different groups apart from Americans were harshly and forcefully pushed Westward. Native Americans, Mexicans, and Chinese were groups of individuals who from the viewpoint of America, threatened the American way of life in different types of aspects varying from, religion, skin color, political systems, language, and types of government. The promise may be to do something or to refrain from doing something. The making of a contract requires the mutual assent of two or more persons, one of them ordinarily making an offer and another accepting. If one of the parties fails to keep the promise, the other is entitled to legal recourse. The law of contracts considers such questions as whether a contract exists, what the meaning of it is, whether a contract has been broken, and what compensation is due the injured party. It is a complex problem entangling the society highlighting the behavior and thought pattern of people shaped into multifaceted force in families, communities and even across borders. Violence is predictable and can also be prevented. It arises many health problems like physical injury, psychological, emotional distress in individuals and within family members. It is a universal scourge that threatens human life, communities, happiness and health in every aspect. It has become an inevitable part of human life hampering physically, emotionally, mentally and psychologically. Violence costs the life of the victim and increases the burden in terms of health. The health sector plays an important role in preventing violence. Violence encompasses suicidal behavior, interpersonal and armed conflict (Wathen, MacGregor and MacQuarrie 2016). It is a major challenge affecting human health and victims suffering due to violence created at every sphere of life. The impact of violence is large and accounts for thousands of lives. The suicides, homicides and armed conflicts harm health and take lives increasing the burden of violence deaths globally. Physical, sexual and psychological deaths occur on a daily basis that is seriously posing a threat to human health. It is undermining the human health and well being of people increasing the cost of quality of health care. The physical injury caused due to violence increases the risk of violence associated mental, behavioral and psychological problems. It results in anxiety, depression, suicidal behavior, alcohol abuse and other related health problems (Oram, Trevillion, Feder and Howard 2013). There are prolonged and permanent effects of violence like mental or physical disability that might result due to the initial abuse. It diminishes the quality of life in victims and decreases the ability of one to take care of oneself. It threatens ones personal safety that disrupts the daily activities. It is a cause and effect relationship that is violence and its impact on health including the psychological abuse. Violence is present and encompasses every community or country. The deep root analysis and prevention is important to curb violence from our society. The violence has serious effects on the health of individuals like chronic pain, psychosomatic problems and psychological problems. The domestic violence is associated with mental health problems like post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression (Krizsn and Paantjens 2016). The post traumatic problems gives rise to substance abuse that also hampers the lives of people. The health sector is actively involved in the prevention of violence negatively affecting the victims and the witnesses acting like an epidemic disease and affecting life. I consider myself as a change agent in the field of preventing the disease and reducing its ill effects on human health. It is rightly said that one should be the change to see that change in the world. The ability to understand the root causes of something, we need to change it as it was said by Kurt Lewin. He proposed the change theory and said that change occur through action research. I think to bring about change to prevent violence proper planning, acting, observation and reflection is required. I think to recommend change to prevent violence, it is important to have a root cause analysis of the causes of violence. Violence prevails in the form of domestic violence that is the most common cause of violence prevailing in our society. The women are suppressed; increasing male autonomy, low empowerment among women, low educational status and traditional beliefs makes a way for domestic violence. The women are physically abused and mentally tortured (Dillon, Hussain, Loxton and Rah man 2013). The domestic violence is a serious offence and needs to be dealt with great concern. Poverty is also one of the major causes that give rise to violence. The economic burden compels people to get engaged into illegal activities for monetary benefits. The unemployment, joblessness contributes to violence in the society (Rosenfeld et al. 2013). I think there is a lot of aggression among the youth that increases the degree of violence. The anti-social activities provide easy monetary benefits and in the course of these activities, they are beaten, imprisoned, harassed and robbed. The violent behavior in the poor people is due to the suppression by the stronger people. There is unequal distribution of resources and its access to common people. I also think personal attitude and behavior also contribute to the cause of violence. The jealousy over socio-economic status in people also accounts for the violence. According to World Health Organization, violence also prevails at workplaces. Eve ry 1 in 3 women suffer from physical violence (World Health Organization 2014). The domestic violence has serious physical and mental implications on the life of the women. The children are indirectly subjected to violence at homes and dominated by fear. After analyzing the detailed causes of violence in every aspect of society and its serious implications on health, recommendations for change is required in those aspects. The global report on violence and health by World Health Organization accounts for 1.6 million deaths due to violence across the globe. This greatly influenced me to think and take action against violence prevailing in our society and destroying thousands of lives. I think women are the soft targets for violence at homes or at workplace. In a case scenario where I saw two men were abusing few teenage girls. On hearing them shouting, few people gathered and they ran away. This incident made me realize that violence has reached an alarming stage and there is an urgency to act against it. The attitude and behavior change is the most important factor for change. The interpersonal and domestic violence within families and friends could be prevented by changing behavior patterns towards partners and family members. The v ictims should raise their voices against any kind of physical abuse. The women should have equal opportunities and stature in the society regarding money and power. The application of strict and stringent laws employed at workplace, safety training and evaluation of the efficiency of training programs would help to reduce the violence occurring at workplace (Wyatt, Anderson-Drevs and Van Male 2016). The common people should be made aware of the ill effects of violence through knowledge and awareness programs. The local authorities should organize and volunteer educational programs and involve common people to speak and view their thoughts towards violence. This would help to monitor the thinking of people and their level of awareness regarding the violence and its related health effects. The victims should get optimum support from their family members and friends and should not be compelled to adopt social isolation. The victims also opt for substance abuse like alcohol or drug abus e. There should be a conscience development in people without that violence could not be prevented prevailing in every aspect of the society. The violence in the society and its implications on health are seriously affecting the quality of life. It has arisen due to multifaceted reasons like jealousy, poverty, lack of education, unequal socio-economic status, aggression and ego among people.
